Time for Francisco's fist real bath. Now Gianna was one pampered princess but this little one has more stuff than ten kids; a reclining bath seat and an inflatable duck bath tub are now housed in our tub. Thank God for the downstairs shower. This cute little pumpkin is still the love of my life BUT Felix and i also look like jet lagged zombies and both floors of our house resemble Babies are Us. We are getting his crib tomorrow-the kid only has four things to sleep in so of course he needs a full size crib. More to come……………….

Wait There's More
How could this cute little person create such havoc?! So Fransisco and Gianna come home on Good Friday. Gianna can't climb the stairs so she has to stay on the living room love seat and the love of my life has to stay in a porta-crib with a built in changing table. The first time he cries both siberian huskies and the cat come running. Kodi thinks hey a food source, the cat peers at this tiny person inhabiting her ex-bed (the cat liked the porta-crib) and Oreo has his first meltdown. Gianna changes the baby and begins to nurse-the animals rush over thinking, "hey this looks familiar" The weekend goes by in a blur THEN back to work on Monday. My coworkers and the parents of the children in my class are great they shower this baby with toys, books and clothes. But when i get home all this baby wants to do is nurse, sleep and cry, not necessarily in that order. He is not keeping me awake but Gianna looks like a jet lagged zombie. First week we take him to the doctor and she says he has to gain weight, please bring him in by the end of the week to be reweighed. Gianna goes into nursing overtime now this little guy eats, CRIES and sleeps in that order. At the end of the week we are back at the Dr. Fransisco is back to his birth weight. Yeah Gianna! But not yet. He also has diaper rash. Off to the pharmacy with a three part prescription. Now this little man has the pharmacy in an uproar. Our pharmacist (a soft spoken older gentleman, he's MY age). Asks us exactly how bad is this diaper rash. Being the discreet ladies that we are we whip off the diaper and show him. After a call to the doctor the pharmacist sends us off with three containers of cream. He thinks we are really over reacting. Next calamity Gianna's breast pump comes in. The whole first floor of my house looks like Babies are Us but this is just temporary, right. Bottles, pumps, creams begin to infiltrate into my bedroom! Now the proud parents decide they want to supplement the breast milk with formula. More bottles!!!!!!
OK so i'm obsessed with a new little man in my life. The day before Gianna's 21st birthday we found out that she was at least 28 weeks pregnant. To say i was surprised would be a bit of an understatement. The following week Gianna went for an in-depth ultrasound and she calls me at work and tells me she is more like 34 weeks pregnant and the doctor has schedualed a Cesarean Section for 8 o'clock in the morning on April 14th and Gianna decided that she wanted me in the delivery room with her. i was a wreck, where would this baby sleep, what would he wear did Gianna remember prenatal vitamins? A million worries flooded my mind. Gianna couldn't have a baby, i was too young to be a grandmother. What would this baby call me? The four weeks seemed like an eternity. Everyone reassured me that a baby is blessing from God. Then the morning of 4/14/14 dawns and we have to be at the hospital for 6 a.m. i pack a very huge gianna into the car and drive through the deserted streets of Highland Park into New Brunswick. The parking deck is empty As i sat and watched Gianna give birth to this perfect little person, i began to laugh. He had a the cutest little cry and the softest brown hair and biggest brown eyes. "Gianna he's cuter than you were!" i yelled. They ask me if i wanted to hold him, i pick up this little guy and melt. Little did i know, life as i knew it had changed forever.
